GOLDEN NUGGETS
The bright lights of Broadway have long been a beacon for the world's most talented actors, offering a platform where their artistry can flourish. Here are just a few of the famous stars of Broadway: Ethel Merman known as the “First Lady of the Broadway Musical” was in “Gypsy” and “Annie Get Your Gun”. Richard Burton’s most memorable performance was as Arthur in “Camelot”. His costar in “Camelot”, Julie Andrews has become a synonym for Broadway excellence. Zero Mostel in “Fiddler on the Roof” showcased his comedic genius and dramatic depth. Multiple Tony award winner Angela Lansbury starred in “Mame” and “Sweeney Todd”. Broadway legend, Patti LuPone, is known for her roles in “Evita” and “Gypsy”. Audra McDonald is a Broadway icon, who had a record-breaking six Tony Awards which speaks to her extraordinary talent and versatility as a performer in shows like “Porky and Bess” and “Ragtime”. Nathan Lane's unparalleled comedic timing and dynamic stage presence have made him one of Broadway's most beloved actors with performances in "The Producers" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” Joel Grey's masterful portrayal of the Emcee in "Cabaret" not only earned him a Tony Award but also established him as one of Broadway's most esteemed stars. Lin-Manuel Miranda has revolutionized Broadway with his groundbreaking musical "Hamilton," Each of these stars have had moments in the spotlight. However, none of their stardom is forever. Some of them have already died or faded from performances on the stage. This is not true about one star that will shine bright forever. In the Bible it states, “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.” (Revelation 22:16). This is a STAR for all ages. It will never fade or be forgotten. How wonderful that God gave us this extraordinary light to brighten our journey in this life and the life to come. An eternal star that can be YOURS just by believing and accepting Him as your Savior is a precious gift that God gives to all His children. Every STAR can give a powerful performance that can move, inspire and transform, but NONE can compare to what Jesus, the Morning Star did.

Grandpa’s Sports Stories
Vincent Thomas Lombardi (/ləmˈbɑːrdi/ ləm-BAR-dee; June 11, 1913 – September 3, 1970) was an American professional football coach and executive in the National Football League (NFL). Lombardi is considered by many to be among the greatest coaches and leaders in American sports.[1] He is best known as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers during the 1960s, where he led the team to three straight and five total NFL Championships in seven years, in addition to winning the first two Super Bowls at the conclusion of the 1966 and 1967 NFL seasons. Lombardi began his coaching career as an assistant and later as head coach at St. Cecilia High School in Englewood, New Jersey. He was assistant coach at Fordham University where he coached with Jim Lansing. He also coached for the United States Military Academy and the New York Giants before serving as head coach and general manager for the Packers from 1959 to 1967 and the Washington Redskins from 1969 until dying from cancer during the 1970 preseason. Lombardi never had a losing season as head coach in the NFL, compiling a regular-season winning percentage of 73.8% (96–34–6) and 90% (9–1) in the postseason for an overall record of 105 wins, 35 losses and 6 ties in the NFL. He was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the NFL Super Bowl trophy was named in his honor. The play “Lombardi” was a play that looked at the ideas and people who made the great Packers football coach Vince Lombardi the complex, charismatic and extraordinary icon he was. This Tony Nominated Broadway play follows Coach Vince Lombardi of the Green Bay Packers through a week in the 1965 NFL season as he attempts to lead his team to the championship. Although football’s Super Bowl trophy is named for him, few know the real story of Lombardi the man, his inspirations, his passions and ability to drive people to achieve what they never thought possible. Sport produces great human drama and there is no greater sports icon to bring to theatrical life than Hall of Fame Coach Vince Lombardi. “Winning isn’t everything, but the will to win is everything.”
REMEMBER WHEN
The Manhattan neighborhood known as the Theater District got its nickname, the Great White Way, from a headline in the New York Evening Telegram on February 3, 1902. The many lights on theater marquees and billboards that illuminate the neighborhood inspired the name. Figuratively, the area changed color in the 1960s and 1970s. That’s when it was effectively Manhattan’s red-light district.
Who’d A Thunk
From its humble beginnings as the Wickquasgeck trail to its current status as the world’s theatre capital, Broadway has been on an incredible journey – one that mirrors the growth, struggles, and triumphs of America itself. Throughout its history, Broadway has been more than just a street or a collection of theatres. It has been a dream factory, a cultural barometer, and a beacon of creativity that has drawn talent and audiences from around the world. It has launched careers, created timeless works of art, and provided a platform for important social dialogues. Through wars, economic depressions, social upheavals, and even a global pandemic, Broadway has continually adapted, evolved, and persevered. The history of Broadway teaches us valuable lessons about resilience, innovation, and the power of the arts. It shows us how entertainment can be a unifying force, bringing people together to share in the unique magic of live performance. It demonstrates the incredible impact that culture can have on a city’s identity and economy. And perhaps most importantly, it reminds us of the enduring human need for storytelling and shared experiences.

JEFF FORREY
Born in Milton, Jeff grew up in New Columbia and Milton in Union County, Pennsylvania.. He went to Delaware Valley University in Doylestown.

The church had a singles ministry and provided a wonderful environment to get to know someone better. This beautiful young woman’s name was Debbie; and soon Jeff and Debbie fell in love.
They married on March 18th in 1995 and honeymooned in Marco Island, Florida. They were able to return there last year for a “second honeymoon”.
Jeff and Debbie have one son and one daughter but no grandchildren yet. They currently live in central North Carolina as Jeff accepted a position at Church Initiative in Wake Forest. Since they love the mountains and the beach, this is a great location as they are halfway in between.
Jeff serves as an elder at Christ Our Hope Church in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
Be sure to check out the rest of Jeff’s story under “This Is My Story” on a post under blogs on our website.
Humor Me
A Broadway producer is telling his woes to a elderly man and is explaining how much money he is losing on his latest play. He knows it's no good but feels if he could get some awards people would start talking about it and wanting to go see it. He just needs to figure out a way to get this play to win some big awards. The elderly man interrupts and says "Hey, I hear you. My mom a very long time ago taught me how to do just that. Come by my place tomorrow and I
will teach you too."Skeptically, the producer agrees and shows up at the elderly man’s house the next day. There are eggs and flour all over the counter. The producer is curious what is going on and asks what this is all for."Jump on in here, we are going to make some pasta" the elderly man replies."Why are we making pasta!?!" the producer shoots back in frustration. The elderly man looks at the producer dumbfounded and exclaims "You wanted to learn how to rigatoni, right?"

Answer to Brain Teaser
All three hats are red. If even one person saw two blue hats, they would know their own hat must be red (since at least one is red). Since no one knows, no one sees two blue hats — meaning all three hats must be red.
