If you consider all of the emotions we face in life, there is only one feeling that includes all of the others… LOVE. As most of us know, love can make us feel happy or sad; it can make us feel depressed or extremely joyful. It can make us experience anger, hate and jealousy. We either long for love or loathe it. This heartfelt emotion either brings peace or chaos and despair.
The knowledge that love encompasses all other emotions gives us the ability to understand why God, in his infinite wisdom, used the word love when He talked about His plan for the world.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
God wanted to ensure that we knew, regardless of our current feelings, that His abundant and free love supersedes any temporary, earthly emotion. God takes us out of our situations and brings us into His realm of forgiveness through the blood of his song, Jesus.
This amazing love knows no bounds. It is as high as a mountain and as deep as the deepest ocean. Marvelous love like this sustains us when all earthly love fails.
Take another look at the love which is in your life today. Does it satisfy you beyond all measure? Has God’s redeeming love reached your heart and given you joy and peace?
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!!
Humor Me
A little boy opened the big family Bible. He was fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What he had dropped was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages. “Mama, look what I found,” the boy called out. “What have you got there, dear?” his mother asked. With astonishment in the young boy’s voice, he answered, “I think it’s Adam’s underwear!”

Senior of the Month
Kim Tageson
Kim was born in Jackson, Michigan in November of 1956. His mother was a registered nurse and his dad was a Michigan State policeman. Because of his dad’s job, they moved four times before he graduated from high school. Since his Dad always chose rural or small town areas, big city living was never natural to Kim.
Kim became a Christian at fifteen years old and concentrated on his grades and sports. He received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy. Four years in Annapolis followed by five years in the nuclear submarine force homebased in Charleston, South Carolina. It was there he met his lovely wife Jane and they began their lives together.
More attuned now to starting a family than roaming the seas underwater, Kim entered civilian life as a field service engineer. For the first three years of marriage, Kim and Jane traveled a lot, including seven months in Switzerland. They then “landed” in the Monrow, Michigan vicinity where they stayed for almost twenty years. Two children were raised through high school there and both were in college when Kim accepted his final job in Wilmington, North Carolina in 2007.
Kim retired in 2020 and soon moved to the Wake Forest area to be close to their two children and five grandchildren.
