THIS IS MY STORY - PETER HAYMAN

Before I knew I was going to heaven when I died, I was afraid of death.

When I was 32, one of my best friends suffered a massive heart attack and died before

help could arrive. At his graveside funeral in Dallas, I watched his grieving wife hold

their infant son. The little boy was too young to understand that his father was gone. As

I left, I thought, "That's me." I was going through life not knowing what would happen

after death. Questions filled my mind: Why am I here? What is my purpose? What

happens when I die?

Then I walked into a church and heard a message that changed my life. I learned that I

could know I was going to heaven when I died. I left that church with that assurance,

and one of the greatest changes was that I was no longer afraid of dying.

At the time, I traveled often by plane for business. I used to worry about crashes and

could rarely sleep during flights. But after I came to trust Christ, that fear disappeared.

One day, I was sound asleep when we hit the runway so hard that the whole plane

shook and woke me up. My first thought was, "We're crashing!" But before I realized we

were safe, my next thought was, "I'm going to heaven." That moment showed me

something important: I truly believed God's promise.

Do you know for certain where you'll spend eternity? The Bible says you can know. If

you'd like to know what the Bible says, call or email me.
